3D printer upgrades

3D Printing Help Centre

3D PRINTING HELP CENTRE

In the 123-3D help centre, we answer all your questions about 3D software and printer settings, problems you may experience during or after 3D printing and other 3D-related topics.

How do I get the best out of my 3D printer?

Everyone who has a 3D printer wants the best print results. You may run into things that you think could be done better. Fortunately, there are several ways to upgrade your 3D printer, so that better printing results are achieved.

In addition to adjusting the settings in the printer software to optimise your 3D printer, you can also replace parts of the printer for better quality. The 3D printers on the market are not always equipped with the very best parts. This is done to reduce the price of the 3D printer. It is therefore valuable to look at upgrading such parts. For example, consider purchasing a better extruder, an upgrade of the nozzle or a better filament spool holder.

You can optimize your 3D printer by adding extra parts. For example, you can add LED strips to better illuminate your print, so that you can clearly see the progress. There are also dampers to dampen the sound of the engine, print bed accessories to optimise adhesion and corner supports to strengthen the frame of the 3D printer.

Are there also upgrades for filament?

There are no upgrades for filament, but you can get the best out of your filament. With the right tools, you can use your filament even more efficiently. There are some filament types that react to humidity and absorb moisture. When this filament is subsequently used for printing, it can be damaged. It is therefore important to store filament in the right way. For example, we have filament accessories that can dry your filaments, such as a drying box or a drying bag.
